Hello, Brothers!

I hope you all made it through the hurricane without incident.  Please join me in praying for all those affected by Hurricane Matthew.  The last week was eventful and we have a few activities in the coming weeks.  We had good attendance at the meeting last Thursday but the attendance drawing is still unclaimed and up to $120.  Chair set up was not as well attended as the meeting and we are dangerously close to losing our building privileges.  Chair set up is a quick and easy way to serve our church if we get more than a couple people to help.  Thank you to Dan Cantrell, Bob Hooper, and the 1st Degree Team for their work on Monday night.  We had a 1st and 2nd Degree and welcomed several new Brothers to our Council. 
 
Our second Wives’ Appreciation Night of the year is Friday, October 28th from 6:00-8:00PM at Apex Fine Wine.  Thank you to Brother Eric Stokes for hosting us!  This will be a great opportunity to hang out with other couples, show appreciation to our lovely wives, drink some fine wine, and eat some light appetizers.  The tasting is covered by the Council but tipping the staff is greatly appreciated.  Please RSVP here. 
 
Our Adopt-A-Highway from a couple weekends ago had to be rescheduled.  Our Fall Adopt-A-Highway make-up event is Saturday October 29th! Plan to meet at Olive Chapel Elementary School (1751 Olive Chapel Rd, Apex, NC 27502) at 8:30 AM.  Children must be 12 years old to participate.  Please consider participating in this truly local opportunity, literally just down the street!  As usual, drinks and snacks will be provided.  Bags, gloves, vests, and sticks to pick up trash will also be available.  If you have not yet volunteered for Adopt-A-Highway, please watch the Adopt a Highway Safety Video Clip  Please Sign uphere.  Thank you and see you there!
 
The CPO annual holiday box prep is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.  In addition to preparing holiday boxes, we will donate the coats we purchased from Coats for Kids to the CPO.  This is will be a great day of Charity so please consider coming out.  Thank you to Mike Rota for coordinating!  Please sign up here.
